Top Ten Books I Had Strong Emotions Over
Title: The Giving Tree
Author: Shel Silverstein
Why? If you haven't had the chance to read this book yet I'm commanding you to do so! I don't get emotional over many books and yes this is a children's book but I cried when I read it. "Once there was a tree...and she loved a little boy." The Giving Tree tells a story of love and its power to make you give and give no matter the cost. Beautiful :)
Title: The Gargoyle
Author: Andrew Davidson
Why? The Gargoyle is one of those books you will either love or hate...I Loved it! It tells the tragic story of a man that has been burned over most of his body. The book follows him during his time in the burn ward where he meets a woman that is certain they were once lovers. She begins to tell him story's of love and then the story of their love. The Gargoyle is truly beautiful.
Title: Romeo and Juliet
Author: William Shakespeare
Why? Ok, ok I know everyone had heard of or read this book but what can I say? It's the classic love story for every generation. I get truly irritated with with how stupid this couple runs around and acts but hey, they were in love! It just shows you how blind and bitter sweet love can be :)
Title: The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles
Author: Julie Andrews Edwards
Why? This was one of the first chapter books I read as a child. Written by Julie Andrews herself this book tells a great story about how strong the imagination is and to never give up.
Title: If I Stay
Author: Gayle Forman
Why? This whole book is tragic and sad and yet I encourage everyone to read it at least once. You may cry but I think you will be glad you gave this book a shot. The book covers one tragic day in a young woman's life when everything she knows changes and everyone she cares about is gone. Now she must make the biggest decision of her life.

I loved If I Stay, what a beautiful story. The Gargoyle, my very best friend hounded me to read it and I had to stop very early in because I am MUCH to squeamish for all of those details. I still cringe when I think about it!!
Yes hehe I should probably mention that. It was very detailed and gory and because of that its not for everyone but I'm glad you tried :)
